DAS-16 & DAS-16F from $999
16 Channel High Speed Interfaces For
IBM PC/XT/AT and Compatibles
The DAS-16 and DAS-16F are multifunction high speed analog/digital I/O expansion boards for the IBM Personal Computer that turns a PC into a fast high precision data acquisition and signal analysis instrument. For complete versatility, they can also be used in other bus compatible computers. Using state of the art data conversion components, the DAS-16 and DAS-16F have been designed to provide a powerful and inexpensive analog/digital interface on a full size slot board. Ideally suited to any application requiring high speed 12 bit data acquisition at lowest possible cost both boards have the freedom from complexity an the mapped I/O mapped control make programming straightforward. The DAS-16 and DAS16F implement the following functions: a 12 bit successive approximation converter with 12m s conversion time for DAS-16, 8.5 m for DAS-16F.
The channel input configuration is switch selectable on the board, providing a choice between 16 single ended channels or 8 different channels with +10V common mode range. Throughput depends on the operation configuration.
High input impedance ranges of +1V, +2V, +5V and +10V unipolar and +0.5V, +1V, +2.5V, +5V, and +10V are switch selectable. 2 channels of multiplying 12 bit D/A output with 0 to 5 V available using -5V reference on board. Other outputs are available with an external dc source. A 3 channel programmable interval timer provides trigger pulses for a A/D at any rate from 250 KHz to 1 pulse/h. Digital I/O consists of 4 bits of TTL/DTL compatible digital output and 4 bits of digital input.
SOFTWARE
The following utility software for DAS-16 is provided on a single sided PC-DOS. 1.10 format 3 1/2" floppy disc:
